2005 Weekend Listings          Home Page

This page lists every 2005 folk, contra, square, traditional and ethnic dance weekend known to us. Each listing contains two items: 1) the dates of the event and 2) the name of the event. If the group mailed us the $25.00 (U.S.) listing fee and we received it, we've also included the following additional items: 1) a link to the event's web site, 2) the names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of up to three contact people, 3) the location of the event and 4) the types of dances done. We apologize in advance for any group choosing not to pay for their listing and thus missing out on these four items. A responsible member of the group is always welcome to submit this missing information using one of our Listing a Weekend forms. Listings are accepted with the assurance we'll be kept up-to-date promptly about any mistakes and changes. Complete details are on our Listing a Weekend page.

If the name of a weekend is underlined, click on the name to visit a website presenting the latest news about that event. A stop at the web site (assuming it is regularly updated) should give you the latest news about upcoming activities. Although we checked out each web site when we listed it, we're not responsible for those which contain errors or no longer exist.

Have We Overlooked You?     Top Of Page

We realize it's not possible to keep abreast of all folk dance happenings in the world. So, if you're aware of any folk dance weekend not listed below, please tell its sponsor about us and visit our Suggesting an Event page to tell us about it. The Accuracy Of A Listing     Top Of Page

If we're certain of a listing's source, we used a phrase like Mar 28, 1999 or like Feb 15, 2001 at the listing's end to indicate the fact. The phrase Mar 28, 1999 indicates someone associated with the event on March 29, 1999 sent us all the facts we used in the listing on a Listing a Weekend form from our Listing a Weekend page. The phrase Feb 15, 2001 indicates someone associated with the event on February 15, 2001 spoke with us and verbally presented all the facts we included in the listing. In addition, we were assured we'd be promptly informed about all future changes in the listing and pledged to publish all corrections on the internet promptly. If neither phrase appears in a listing, then we've no idea of the listing's source.
