Suggesting a Teacher          Home Page

You may be acquainted with a folk dance teacher we missed who'd be a perfect addition to our directory. Perhaps you were very impressed by a Hungarian or Roumanian folk dance teacher at a recent folk dance camp or workshop. Maybe you thought a guest caller at a square or contra dance festival was truly fantastic. However you learned of the individual, we'd like you to use the form on this page to let us know about him or her.   We have just two requirements: The individual either teaches or is a recognized authority on some type of folk dance. 2) You're not the teacher being recommended.

How Do You Submit Your Listing?     Top Of Page

If you ARE a folk dance teacher, do NOT use the form on this page to submit a teacher listing for yourself. Instead, please visit our Listing a Teacher page and follow the directions you'll find there. You'll find an overview about submitting listings of all types on our Getting Listed page.

If you're NOT a folk dance teacher or caller you feel should be listed on our Folk Dance Teachers page, please take a few minutes to fill out the following form and click the SUBMIT button after you're finished.  A Form Confirmation screen should appear within 30 seconds to indicate successful transmission. (It may take longer if your system is slow or the internet is having a bad hair day.) If it doesn't appear or if you have any other problem with this form, please e-mail the requested information to sug_teacher@folkdancing.org or give us a call at (888) 321-1023. (In the Teacher's Folk Dance Types field, please tell us what types of folk dance are the specialties of the teacher.) We promise to contact any folk dance teacher or caller you recommend and invite him or her to submit a listing for inclusion on our Folk Dance Teachers page.

The Accuracy Of A Listing     Top Of Page

If we're certain of a listing's source, we used a phrase like Mar 28, 1999 or like Feb 15, 2001 at the listing's end to indicate the fact. The phrase Mar 28, 1999 indicates someone associated with the event on March 29, 1999 sent us all the facts we used in the listing on one of our forms. The phrase Feb 15, 2001 indicates someone associated with the event on February 15, 2001 spoke with us and verbally presented all the facts we included in the listing. In addition, we were assured we'd be promptly informed about all future changes in the listing and pledged to publish all corrections on the internet promptly. If neither phrase appears in a listing, then we've no idea of the listing's source.
