| Dear Friend, Here is a copy of your 2003 class/session listing for inclusion in Folk Dance Association. The cost for this listing is $15.00 and covers the period from Januare 1, 2003 to December 31, 2003. If you DON'T pay this listing fee, I'll give you a free listing which includes only the class's name and dates; no other details will be included. On the other hand, if you DO pay the $15 listing fee, I'll included everything you see above (Temporarily, I'll give you this complete listing for a few weeks. However, If you DON'T pay for your listing, your listing will soon revert to an incomplete free listing.) Remember, a paid listing can help your class succeed: 1) About 70,000 people a year visit our site and use our listings. 2) We've won top position and excellent visibility with almost every search engine on the web. 3) A 2003 listing costs just $15, $20 in 2004 and $25 in 2005, or $60 to list a class for three years. How much newsletter or magazine advertising will this same $60 buy you? 4) There are over 8,000 web sites linking to us. 5) Dont worry if some of your information changes. If it does, we'll fix your listing immediately at no charge. This means you can choose to list your class in 2003, 2004 and 2005 right now. So, please visit the Folk Dance Association web site. If you decide to have a paid listing in 2003, 2004 and 2005, please make your check for $60.00 (U.S. funds) payable to Folk Dance Association and mail it to Folk Dance Association, PO Box 300500, Brooklyn, NY 11230-0500. Please print out a copy of your class, edit it as needed and include it with your mailing. I certainly look forward to helping your class succeed. By the way, if you've not done so already, please place a link to Folk Dance Association on your web site . Also, if you receive extra copies of this email, it's because you're a contact person for additional classes. Yours truly, Raymond La Barbera, Director<tbody style="DISPLAY: none"> |

Folk dance contact people, directories and periodicals (newsletters, newspapers, magazines, etc) which cover all or part of this state and regional links which cover this and other states in the region are listed free of charge on our New England States Folk Dance page. Web sites maintained by groups listed above are linked to their listings. (Consequently, we're unable to list web sites maintained by groups choosing not to be listed.) Links to folk dance activities in all or part of this state, other than those mentioned above, are listed below free of charge.
Folk Dance Association is not connected with any of the following web sites and assumes no responsibility for their quality, opinions and information. We list them solely to offer our visitors as much folk dance related information as they wish. Their contents are strictly the responsibility of those who own and maintain them and we leave judging their merits strictly up to each individual who chooses to visit them.

If a group's name is underlined, it maintains a web site you can immediately visit by clicking on the group's name. A stop at the web site (assuming the group regularly updates it) should give you the latest news about the group's dances, special events and other activities. Although we checked out each web site when we listed it, we're not responsible for those which contain errors or no longer exist.
Although we welcome listings from all folk dance groups in the state and would like all of them to be listed below, it's inevitable some groups will be missing. This may happen because we and the group don't know about each other or because the group has chosen not to be listed. So, if you're aware of a folk dance group not listed below which you're NOT involved in running, please tell us about it using the Suggesting a Group form on our Suggesting a Group page. Also, if you ARE involved in running a folk dance group not listed below or listed incorrectly, please use the Listing a Group form on our Listing a Group page to submit a new listing or correct the current one. Finally, if you know of a web site presenting information about folk dance in this state which is missing from our Links section on this page, please use the Suggesting a Link form on our Suggesting a Link page to let us know about it.
We've tried to make all listings as easy and intuitive to use as possible. However, if you're unsure how we've arranged the listings on this page, how we've organized the information in each listing, what's supposed to be included and not included in each listing, how to find groups doing a specific type of folk dance or anything else, please visit our Using the Listings page for help.
Starting January 1, 2003, all groups appearing on this page have paid an annual listing fee and authorized a responsible party to submit all information for publication using one of our Listing a Group forms. Listings are accepted with the assurance we'll be promptly informed about mistakes and changes to ensure they'll remain correct and up-to-date. (Complete details are on our Listing a Group page.)
Folk Dance Association is NOT connected with any of the groups listed on this page and NOT responsible for any of their programs. We have neither time nor resources to investigate the groups which have submitted listings and, even if we had, we firmly believe it's wrong to set oneself up as judge and jury. Accordingly, we assume no responsibility for group information which is incorrect or has changed since its original submission. In accepting group listings for publication, we make no recommendation nor express any opinion about their merits, those who run them and those who dance with them. We leave such judgements strictly up to individual folk dancers to decide for themselves.
If you intend to attend a group for the first time or after several weeks of nonattendance, DON'T go without first contacting the group to verify there'll actually be a dance. To reduce the possibility of disappointment, ALWAYS check and confirm the dance's start time, location, admission fee, travel directions and any other important details. And while you're at it, please mention you saw the group's listing here at the Folk Dance Association web site.
Every locality on this page comes with a Weather Port compliments of AccuWeather. There, you'll learn the current temperature, humidity, wind speed/direction, cloud cover and time where you'll be dancing. A click on this weather port reveals a full-page weather profile, including a 15-day weather forecast, weather headlines from all over the country, a history of the past year's weather and a huge array of fascinating facts. You'll certainly be prepared for any weather you may encounter.
Next to each group's name, you'll find the word Calendar. If you click on this word, you'll be presented with a full page calendar compliments of LoCalendar. A folk dance leader can use it to keep track of upcoming special events. Anyone can use it to manage future appointments. Either way, it can be most helpful with a busy schedule. (If you're unsure how to use your calendar, contact LoCalendar directly to find out what to do; we're unable to provide you with any help.)
Most listings display the words MAP VIEW after the dance hall's name and address. A click on this phrase produces a map compliments of MapQuest pinpointing the dance hall's exact location as well as the locations of all the surrounding streets. You'll never get lost again. Naturally, such a map requires knowing the dance hall's exact location. Thus, we need either the dance hall's street address (3452 Acorn Ave) or the names of two nearby intersecting cross streets (Acorn Ave and Maple Leaf Road). If you come across an incorrect or missing address, please send us a correction as soon as possible.
At the bottom of the page, there's a box saying something like 113,365 Visitors Since January 1, 1999. This is our hit counter compliments of Site Meter stating how many people have visited our site since its origin. A click on this box brings you a full page of statistics, including information about our last 1,000 visitors, forecasts of future visits and lots of other interesting facts. In fact, it'll show you exactly what we're doing and how well we're doing it.
We have a search engine compliments of FusionBot. You can use this search engine to search for virtually anything on the Folk Dance Association web site. If you'd like to search for someone or something, just type what you're looking for in the following search box and you'll get your result in a few seconds.

If we're certain of a listing's source, we used a phrase like (1) - Mar 28, 1999 or like (2) - Feb 15, 2001 at the listing's end to indicate the fact. The phrase (1) - Mar 28, 1999 indicates someone associated with the group on March 29, 1999 sent us all the facts we used in the listing on a Listing a Group form from our Listing a Group page. The phrase (2) - Feb 15, 2001 indicates someone associated with the group on February 15, 2001 spoke with us and verbally presented all the facts we included in the listing. In addition, we were assured we'd be promptly informed about all future changes in the listing and pledged to publish all corrections on the internet promptly. If neither phrase appears in a listing, then we've no idea of the listing's source.
