Our directory will never be finished because, no matter how much time, effort and care we put into research, we're bound to miss some groups, events, links, teachers and vendors. All we can hope for is to keep the number of omissions to a minimum.
This is where you come in. We very much depend upon your input. In particular, we need you to recommend folk dance groups, events, links, teachers and vendors we may have overlooked. We promise to seriously consider your suggestion and make every attempt to translate them into listings.

This page covers the following topics:
You may be acquainted with a folk dance special event we missed which would be a perfect addition to our directory. Whether it's a folk dance camp, cruise, festival, tour, week, weekend or workshop, we'd like you to use the form on the Suggesting an Event page to let us know about it. We have just two requirements: 1) The event is scheduled to last two or more days. 2) You're in no way connected with sponsoring or running the event.
You may be acquainted with a folk dance group we missed which holds weekly, biweekly, monthly or irregularly scheduled dances. Whether the dances done by the group are Balkan, clog, contras, English country, international, Israeli, Morris, Scottish country, Southern Mountain big circles, tap, squares, swing, vintage or any other form of traditional dance, we'd like you to use the form on Suggesting a Group page to let us know about it. We have just two requirements: 1) The group holds dances with some regularity somewhere in the United States or Canada. 2) You're in no way connected with sponsoring or running the group.
You may be acquainted with a web site, periodical, publication, directory or contact person unknown to us which would be a perfect addition to this directory. It may be a contra dance web site, a national square dance magazine, a Southeastern Scottish country dance directory, someone who knows the Southern California Israeli folk dance scene or a Chicago Balkan folk dance newsletter. Whether its scope is local, regional or national, we'd like you to use the form on the Suggesting a Link page to let us know about it. Our only requirement is that it contain useful information for potential, new or more experienced folk dancers.
You may be acquainted with a folk dance teacher we missed who'd be a perfect addition to our directory. Perhaps you were very impressed by a Hungarian or Romanian folk dance teacher at a recent folk dance camp or workshop. Maybe you thought a guest caller at a square or contra dance festival was truly fantastic. However you learned of the individual, we'd like you to use the form on the Suggesting a Teacher page to let us know about him or her. We have just two requirements: The individual either teaches or is a recognized authority on some type of folk dance. 2) You're not the teacher being recommended.
You may be acquainted with a folk dance business we missed which would be a perfect addition to our directory. Whether the business sells Balkan dance books, square dance clothing, dancing shoes or folk arts and crafts, we'd like you to use the form on the Suggesting a Vendor page to let us know about it. We have just two requirements: 1) The products and services sold are relevant to folk dancers, folk dance leaders and folk dance groups. 2) You're in no way connected with running or owning the business.
